Frank Yang joined Dell’Oro Group in 2026 and is responsible for the Data Center Optical Connectivity, and Ethernet Adapter & Smart NIC market research programs. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Yang combines extensive technical and commercial expertise across high-speed networking, optical connectivity, AI data center infrastructure, service provider networks, and open networking architectures.

Prior to joining Dell’Oro Group, Mr. Yang held a senior product management position at Legrand, where he managed a team responsible for a broad portfolio of high-speed connectivity products, including optical transceivers, direct attach cables (DACs), active electrical cables (AECs), active copper cables (ACCs), and active optical cables (AOCs). He developed product strategies and drove roadmap execution for cloud data center and AI infrastructure applications, while leading initiatives in 400 Gbps,  800 Gbps, and 1.6 Tbps optical connectivity solutions.

Previously, Mr. Yang spent 15 years at CommScope in product management, technical marketing, and engineering roles. He developed data center fiber strategies and long-term market forecasts, and led product and technology initiatives for structured fiber cabling solutions. He developed the industry’s first 10GBASE-T alien-across-talk live demo system. Earlier in his career, Mr. Yang was a Development Engineer at Dell, where he developed Ethernet NIC hardware and driver software for server and storage platforms and helped develop a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch for Dell’s first blade server.

Mr. Yang is an active participant in the networking industry and has spoken at major industry events, including the OCP Global Summit, Data Center Dynamics AI Week, and Ethernet Technology Summit, as well as industry webinars focused on optical networking and AI infrastructure. He has co-authored industry papers, contributed to a Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) edge data center position paper, and authored multiple patents.

Mr. Yang holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and Chongqing University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Chongqing University. He is a Pragmatic Marketing Certified Product Manager and an NVIDIA Certified Associate in AI Infrastructure and Operations.
